91视频 Yurauna is an informal gathering place that provides opportunity for people to come together to find real solutions. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander staff are available to advise and assist regarding:

Student support

Staff are available to provide support in a number of areas. Our goal is for the student to reach their full potential. Support is provided in partnership with the student so they may accomplish their chosen goals. Prospective students are encouraged to contact 91视频 Yurauna to discuss options.

Below is a guide to some of the services provided.


  • Negotiated places
    • 91视频 Yurauna provides a letter of support for Indigenous people applying for enrolment into 91视频 courses. The letter of support is a negotiated place into a 91视频 course.

      91视频 Yurauna staff assesses prospective students' educational abilities including career aspirations and career plans.

  • 91视频 Indigenous Scholarships
    • 91视频 Indigenous Scholarships were introduced in 2003. Scholarships cover course fees only. To apply for a scholarship:

      - You must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent (you may be requested to provide proof)

      - Enrolled in a mainstream course

      - Have a commitment to study

      Includes full-time, part-time and flexible delivery study. Also, includes skills recognition fees. Scholarship applications can be downloaded from the scholarship page or contact the 91视频 Yurauna on (02) 6207 3309 for more information.

  • Fee assistance
    • The ACT Government provides a limited amount of funds for 91视频 Students who are in financial need and who are committed to study. These funds are used for student fees and books/equipment essential for the course.

  • Tutorial support
    • Tutorial support is available for certificate III courses and above.. This can be set in place early in the semester and is negotiated with 91视频 Yurauna.

  • Employment options
    • 91视频 Yurauna works in partnership with a range of Employment Service Providers for the best outcomes for students. Such as, Traineeships, Apprenticeships, Public Service Entry - ACT and Australian Governments, Private Sector and Industry.

  • 91视频 Yurauna Early Childhood Centre
    • 91视频 Yurauna, in partnership with Northside Community Services - Children's Services, runs an onsite early childhood centre.

      This centre delivers high-quality and culturally safe early childhood education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from birth to 5 years old.

      - Onsite at 91视频 Yurauna - 91视频 Reid
      - Free to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children with a parent/guardian studying at 91视频 Reid
      - with a parent/guardian studying at 91视频 Reid
      - Run by qualified early childhood teachers and educators

  • Abstudy
    • ABSTUDY is available for all 91视频 courses.  Eligibility requirements for full-time or part-time workloads are available by contacting Centrelink directly.

  • Cultural Awareness training
    • 91视频 Yurauna provides cultural education to all staff and students within 91视频. Training can be tailored to your interest - cultural heritage, arts, community development, childcare, health or education.
